LAISON STS prepaid water meters have been installed in Ghana( Accra) for around two year, and now LAISON STS vending system with Ghana MTN mobile payment have been realized for prepaid water meters. Customer can buy water by using their own MTN account and receive their 20-digit token in their mobile phone. The principal Mr. Charles who is responsible for this prepaid metering project said that for all the customers, almost 70% were using mobile payment now. Customers use USSD to dial the short code: " *700*7# " to buy the tokens.This was more conveninet than other ways to purchase water, which is mostly welcomed for customers.
